T-Riz.com20 innings WTF!
Last night the Saint Louis Cardinals and the New York Metropolitans combined for the worst offensive output this year. Let me remind you that both teams signed signed 100 million dollar outfielders this off season and for what? So they could trow up 18 frames of nil baseball.... I had just as many hits in that game as the aforementioned outfielders.
Granted the game started with two premier hurlers on the mound. The one wearing red had a no-no going into the 5th when the asshole play by play commentator let everyone know there was a 0 0 0 box score. Come on Alberts learn something from your side kick. You didn't hear McCarver mentioning the obvious. Everyone knows you don't mention the no-hitter. Thats what separates announcers who played the game from the ones with relatives.
Even with great pitching that is no reason to go 18 scoreless innings. The bullpen is in the bullpen because they cant begin or finish games... The point is they make ERA mistakes.
While I'm ranting will someone please pay Fernando Tatis to tattoo "I hit 2 grand slams off Chan Ho-Park in one inning" on his freakin face! Seriously every time he comes to the plate I hear how that will never happen again unless the manager is mad at a pitcher... I understand how awesome of a feat that is and how the probability is ridiculous... He was playing for the good guys when it happened but give me a break, every game this guy plays in its the same ole thing. I think its more impressive how he lost 75lbs of baby fat or how he forgot how to hit off speed junk [or anything inside for that matter].
